Activision has been sure to pack Call of Duty: Modern Warfare full of COD point bundles. Each bundle includes blueprints, skins, emblems, and much more. Modern Warfare fans usually purchase these bundles as a chance to personalize their gear or show off to their friends in multiplayer lobbies.
One perceptive fan noticed a small glitch in the Modern Warfare store. This error makes some items not appear as they should, resulting in minor confusion when clicking on certain bundles. One small misclick could result in a player spending COD points on a product they never intended to buy.
There are tons of cool items scattered throughout the store for any interested players to purchase and new bundles are added in every season. As one fan was scrolling through the options they noticed that when a player clicks on a choice it doesn’t always lead to the expected page. This mainly happens when a player selects an option, then scrolls down a row, then back up quickly. The images will stay the same but the selected options will shift. Although this is only a minor glitch, any unperceptive player could accidentally spend COD points on something they never intended on buying.
To complicate matters further, the store includes occasional free bundles for fans to enjoy. These are usually hidden among the many purchasable options but are completely free. If a player was not paying attention and quickly selected the gift pack, which then loaded a different bundle like Pyromaniac, then selecting accept would purchase the bundle and waste COD points.
Players within the store have noticed several other odd instances. One player reports that no matter where they clicked it would take them to the franchise store and request that they buy more COD points. Although this seems like a minor inconvenience it has already claimed several player’s hard-earned points.
One player has lost 2400 COD points to this bug. Activision currently offers no refunds for purchases made in paid bundles within the in-game store. So be careful when making purchase sin game and double-check that the product being viewed is really what is being paid for. Every purchase is permanent and must be treated with caution.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
