Streets of Rage 4 developer Dotemu is working on three new unannounced projects, according to a recent Reddit AMA.
If you’re a fan of beat-’em-ups, then you need to go get Streets of Rage 4 right now. It’s available on all major consoles as well as PC via Steam, Humble Bundle, and GOG. You can even get it on the Nintendo Switch.
Streets of Rage 4 only just came out but it’s already on our shortlist for one of the best games of 2020. And better still, developer Dotemu is even thinking about DLC.
“There are many questions about the potential DLC, so I’ll give an answer here,” wrote Dotemu CEO Cyrille Imbert in a recent Reddit AMA. “We have many ideas, and we really want to add more content in the future. But nothing has been decided yet, so we are listening to you and will let you know ‘what’ and ‘when’ soon.”
On top of that, Imbert said that there were three “unannounced similar projects” currently being worked on at Dotemu.
“Similar projects” could mean a lot of things. They could be Streets of Rage 4 DLC, or they could be entirely new games. They might be new beat ’em ups unrelated to Streets of Rage, or they might be similar in that they’re games based on old and abandoned Sega IP. Could we be in store for a brand new Vectorman game?
Stay tuned.
