Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest is in full swing. Most recently Keighley sat down with Valorant’s executive producer and gamer director to confirm the game’s release date. Next up is the Steam Game Festival in early June. But for now, Keighley’s fine with simply confirming two more upcoming Summer Game Fest events.

In a post on the official Summer Game Fest Twitter account, Keighley announced two new “developer showcase events.” The first will be on Monday, June 22, and the second will be on Monday, July 20. The tweet says that the showcases will feature “updates and news” regarding a variety of games from publishers both large and small.

The two new events are being done in partnership with the Day of the Devs event, which is produced by iam8bit and Double Fine. Day of the Devs is open to submissions from game developers who want their game showcased. The only rule is that the game isn’t released at the time of the show. As such, these events are likely to be grab bags of several fun games, some announced and some new.

For comparison, Keighley has only used similar language to describe one other event. Described as a game “showcase”  before it aired, the event led to the announcement and reveal of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2. There was also an interview with Tony Hawk on the broadcast. The Day of the Devs events will perhaps be similar, but given the freestyle nature of the Summer Game Fest, they could be wildly different, too.

Stay tuned for more Summer Game Fest news in the weeks and months to come.
