Crafting is a big part of most farming simulators, and Summer in Mara isn’t an exception. Most of your time will be spent scouring the overworld for resources before heading back to your Workshop and piecing them together. While it doesn’t sound very exciting, Thread is actually an important craftable item that you’ll need for an early quest and is useful for several other tasks. Here’s how to craft Thread in Summer in Mara.
Components Needed To Craft Thread
There’s only one resource you’ll need when crafting Thread, and that’s Cotton. Combine two units of Cotton and you’ll net yourself a useful spool of Thread. Summer in Mara gives players two ways to obtain contain:
- Buy it from a vendor. Cotton can be purchased for 24 coins on Qualis, so if you’re in a hurry this is your best bet. Grow it from Cotton Seeds. You’ll be given these seeds during your first few hours with the game, making it easy to harvest your own. It’ll take a few days for them to grow, but there isn’t much stopping you from repeatedly sleeping at your house to speed up the process. Be sure to water them, as that helps increase their growth rate.
Head To Your Workshop
Once you’ve stashed two units of Cotton in your inventory, head on back to your Workshop at your Home Island. The only other thing you’ll need to craft Thread is its unique recipe — which should be given to you by Noho shortly after you arrive on Qualis. Don’t worry, it’s a part of the main storyline and you don’t have to go out of your way to find it. With two units of Cotton and the recipe in hand, simply navigate the menus and craft a bit of Thread!
Outside of Noho’s quest and its use for crafting Fishing Poles, Thread is also needed to repair the dock on your Home Island. Be sure to plant a bunch of Cotton on your island as early as you can — that way you won’t hit a roadblock during this early part of the game. Plus, repairing your dock makes it easier to board your sailboat and adds a nice aesthetic to your cozy island.
