It’s time to break out your swimsuit and take to the high sea, as Summer In Mara has finally received an official launch date of June 16th, releasing for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

Summer In Mara - from indie game developer Chibig Studio - combines a story-based adventure with farming simulation mechanics to create a game featuring over 30-hours of playtime with over 250 missions and challenges to take on. Players - who take on the role of a young girl named, Koa - will also encounter over 20 other characters throughout the game’s various islands to befriend.

Besides maintaining a large focus on character development, Chibig Studio’s primary goal with Summer In Mara is to make players feel like the things that they do in-game are actually making the world of Mara a better place. Given the state of the world right now, this will be a welcomed mechanic to focus in on, even if it is imaginary.

From the hand-drawn cut-scene animation to the charming gameplay footage in the game’s trailer, spending this summer playing Summer In Mara could be just the positive experience that gamers need right now.
