Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s next spirit event will begin on May 22 and will feature crown wearing characters.
These spirit board events are weekly events in the Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch that last a few days. During these events players will get the opportunity to face off against select characters on the spirit board submenu to earn special perks. Each event features a theme for the characters that will appear, things like appearance to their origin game. Past events, like Fire Emblem Fest, have pitted players against characters from the Fire Emblem franchise, while Kings & Queens of the Sky was all about winged characters.
This latest event, Shining Crown, Glittering Tiara, will put all characters sporting sparkly head dressings in the arena. Be sure to expect obvious match ups like every different version of Princess Peach and Nyna, and some that might be overlooked like King Hippo from Punch Out!! The prize for this event will be extra gold, a fitting reward for beating up a cast of mostly royalty.
These spirit events have been a little something extra for Ultimate players since the game was released in 2018 and they are still going strong today.
Shining Crown, Glittering Tiara will begin at 6AM on May 22nd and will go until the 25th.
