A party of prominent streaming roleplayers recently set out on an adventure to connect tabletop RPG players with a team of world-renowned GM’s. The adventure is called Sword & Scroll, and is being operated through the Sword & Scroll website and Patreon.
Info is still rather light as of this writing, but here’s what’s been made public so far. According to the website, Sword & Scroll is a collection of world-renowned tabletop RPG Game Masters who have gathered their party together to offer tabletop roleplaying gamers a way to connect and game together. The S&S GMs include “game designers, authors, voice actors and streamers” who are available to bring tabletop RPG adventures to you in the comfort of your home.
The Sword & Scroll Patreon seems to be how you can connect with these professional GMs, by joining at one of four membership tiers: Early Bird ($1 / month), Adventurer ($329 / month), Hero ($559 / month), and Legend ($1,029 / month). According to the S&S Patreon, membership will earn you a sum of in-house gold pieces every month (26gp Adventurer, 54gp Hero, and 104gp Legend) that may be used to access the S&S Digital Tavern to play “a variety of game formats from a diverse range of game masters with their own unique style.” Games include one-shot sessions and lengthy campaigns, as well as game workshops and “advanced access to game content, special swag, or even tickets to our live events at D&D in a Castle.”
The list of 14 acclaimed Game Masters who are so far involved with S&S includes:
- Alcuin Gersh (We’re Alive: Frontier) Aliza Pearl (Blood of the Void) Anna Meyer (Legends & Lore) B. Dave Walters (Into the Mother Lands) Eric Campbell (Streampunks) Joseph Limbaugh (Postcard Games) Kelly Lynne D’Angelo (Girls, Guts, Glory) Lawren Nemeth (YVR Dungeon Master Society) Mark Meer (Rapid Fire Theater) Tanya DePass (Into the Mother Lands) Ted Adams (Nerdarchy) The GM Tim (Storm Crow Alliance) TJ Storm (Critical Role) Vee Mus’é (The Crafting Muse)
Streampunks GM Eric Campbell announced the first tabletop RPG open and LFG as part of this new adventure. They’ll be running The Stars Are Fire, an original Cypher System adventure written by Bruce Cordell, and if you become a player, you’ll get to game alongside the always-exciting Sam de Leve.
