Taco Bell fans may be bummed out that the chain has decided to discontinue a few of its most popular menu items, but a brand new next-gen console might just be enough to make up for it. According to a recently leaked promotional sheet, the popular American fast food chain will begin an Xbox Series X giveaway later this month.
Along with the brand new console, Taco Bell is also planning to give away a six-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, giving the winner an Xbox Series X and hundreds of games to play. The promotion is expected to launch on September 23 and last until at least November 4.
To participate in the giveaway, all customers have to do is purchase a Medium or Large drink at participating Taco Bell locations. There are no details as to how you’ll know whether or not you’ve won, but it’s likely there will be some sort of peel away tag located on the cups themselves.
Taco Bell had previously given away an Xbox One through a separate promotion last year. The chain had also partnered with PlayStation back in 2013 and 2014, but has opted to promote Microsoft’s consoles the last few years instead.
As far as securing an Xbox Series X through other methods, pre-orders have yet to be announced and there’s still no word on a price or release date. All signs point to it happening in the second or third week of November, but nothing has been confirmed.
Next-gen console season is really starting to heat up, and we’ll likely see more brand promotions in the coming months. A PS5 Doritos partnership is already in the works, the Xbox Series X has another deal with Monster Energy, and we’ll likely see much more where that came from as time goes on.
So next time you’re in the mood for a Crunchwrap Supreme or a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, be sure to add a drink to your order. Who knows, you just might be one of the very first people to get their hands on an Xbox Series X.
