As many are well aware after witnessing E3 2015, there are a lot of blockbuster games coming out across all platforms. While many fans had the opportunity to watch these games be announced, and even read some of our previews for them, the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con will be the first opportunity for many gamers to try out the titles for themselves.
One company that always has a large presence at Comic-Con is Microsoft and its Xbox brand, and this year won’t be any different. Sticking with last year’s game plan, the company will once again be handing out 20 custom Xbox One consoles to fans. Best of all, fans don’t even need to be at the event for a chance to win one.
Microsoft will be bringing all 20 of the unique consoles with it to Comic-Con, allowing gamers to get a glimpse of what they’d like to win. In fact, those that take a picture of their desired platform during the big event in San Diego and post it on social media with a particular hashtag can enter to win, while those at home are able to access the giveaway via an ad on the dashboard of either the Xbox 360 or Xbox One. Of course, those that don’t have a console can also just follow the official Xbox Twitter account and stay tuned for more details.
Oddly enough, Microsoft has only shown off 19 of the 20 systems it plans on giving away, but you can take a look at all of the revealed designs below:
There are a wide range of neat looking Xbox One consoles up for grabs too, ranging from a sleek, white Gears of War: Ultimate Edition console to a golden Rare Replay variant. Of course, the blockbuster exclusives shipping this year don’t get all the spotlight, as the Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 system is completely decked out and even the Game of Thrones Xbox has a certain appeal to it.
Suffice to say, gamers are definitely going to want to get ahold of these very limited consoles. One disappointing thing to note, however, is that the contest is only applicable to those residing in the United States of America. While that’s a blow for some, perhaps a friend residing within the U.S. boarder can aid foreign gamers in their quest to score one of these coveted Xbox One consoles.
