Several years ago the mobile marketplace was graced with Fowlst, an old-school arcade game in which players took control of a chicken and fought their way through a black and white world. The game’s success spawned a sequel, which came in the form of Super Fowlst — a colorful adventure that introduced new enemies, new environmental hazards, and plenty of reasons to keep playing. Now, Super Fowlst 2 is set to hit Android and iOS on May 26, bringing its patented chicken-based combat back to the masses.
Super Fowlst 2 will once again see players taking control of a deadly chicken as they fight their way through randomly generated levels. As you progress, you’ll upgrade your inventory, learn new skills, battle bosses, and unlock plenty of weird playable characters. The tongue-in-cheek humor looks to be intact, and the game already has a ringing endorsement from its creator, who says that “It’s pretty good, [he] likes it.”
The bizarre action platformer will release on May 26 for both iOS and Android. It’s a free-to-play game that is monetized with in-app purchases — and it’s already available for pre-order on iOS. If you’re curious about the upcoming game it’s worth checking out both Fowlst and Super Fowlst. Although it might take a while to get used to the wing-flapping, chicken-based action, the games are a joy to play once you figure out the unique controls.
