For anyone who has always dreamed of having a life-size Psyduck guard their home, we have some very good news.

Pokémon has become one of the most popular franchises in the world. Not just in movies, or video games, or trading cards, or any of the other arenas it has entered, but across all of entertainment. In fact, it has made more money than any other media franchise ever, raking in $95 billion and counting. That’s more than the MCU, more than Star Wars, even more than its Nintendo buddy, Mario.

What makes that number even more impressive, and almost impossible to fathom, is that 30 years ago no one had ever even heard of Pokémon. It entered our lives in the mid-90s and hasn’t stopped growing since. Whether that be via any of the ways in which it has reached us mentioned above, or its TV shows, live-action movies, or even plushies.

That last one is bigger business than a lot of Pokémom fans might realize, with a lot of trainers choosing to catch ’em all in plush form. A lot of the almost-900 Pokémon created thus far are available in plush form, including the first two generations in their entirety. In fact, should a Pokémon plush collector - or just a Pokémon fanatic - so choose, they can now own a life-sized Psyduck plushie.

The sizable soft toy stands at an impressive 80cm tall and weighs a whopping 8.8lbs. As for how much it’s going to cost, the Psyduck is only listed for sale in Japan at the moment and costs 30,800 yen, which is an eye-watering $287. We’re not sure whether the Psyduck can be shipped to the US, but if so, considering the size and weight, it would likely cost just as much to have it delivered overseas.

As for whether the stuffed Psyduck really is life-size, Pokémon has the water-type listed as 78.7 cm, so the plushie is actually a little taller than the real thing. When it comes to trainers assembling the ultimate Pokémon soft toy collection, will it really be complete without this? Even better, we would love to see it sat atop a full-sized Lapras sofa because yes, that is a real thing.
