In celebration of its 10 year anniversary, Bandai Namco released Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition. Now, just over two years later, that game has reached an impressive sales milestone. Over the course of the last two years, over one million units of the game have been sold worldwide, and in celebration of this achievement, it is going on sale. This should only serve to further boost sales in the coming weeks, letting even more players experience the unique story and gameplay of the Tales of series.

For those that don’t know, Tales of Vesperia released back in 2008, and the definitive edition released a little over 10 years later as a celebration of its success. Though things started off a little slow at first, the title has now sold over a million units, with more likely coming in soon.

For those interested in the sale, it is unfortunately only available in Japanese markets. Players in those regions can purchase the game for 4,827 yen on PS4 (3,384 yen for PS Plus subscribers) or 3,385 yen for Nintendo Switch. This is a significant markdown from the game’s typical retail price, which is listed at 6,270 yen on all platforms. That’s almost half off, so fans should take advantage of the deal while they can.

In response to this, long time fans of the Tales of series celebrate the achievement. This game and others in the franchise have never gotten as much attention as some would argue they deserve, so it’s good to see more players getting into it. Since Tales of Vesperia was a jumping off point for many players back in the 2000’s, it seems fitting that the same holds true in 2021.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
