A “30th Anniversary” edition of Team Sonic Racing for PS4 and Switch has been spotted at several retailers.

The new re-release of Team Sonic Racing was found on several online retailers, before being compiled together and posted on the GamingLeaksAndRumours Reddit page. Sonic Stadium also revealed the game’s box art, which pretty much confirms its existence.

The first website to leak Team Sonic Racing’s 30th Anniversary Edition was French retailer Sogamely. This website also previously leaked Sonic Colours Ultimate and the Sonic Origins Collection, so its validity is pretty strong as far as Sonic leaks go.

Cementing the rumour as truth even further is the fact that the box art for the re-release has also been found online from one of the retailers. The box art is the same as the game’s original release, although it also has the Sonic 30th Anniversary logo attached to it.

The only thing that seems to separate this version of the game from the original release is the fact that it’ll apparently include an art book. The 30th Anniversary sticker that can be seen on the front of the box art says “includes Sonic art book”. Sonic Stadium also found that the price of this release is around £25.

The low price and the lack of any kind of subtitle for this version make it seem like this is just a new release of the game to coincide with the 30th Anniversary and offer a little bonus for fans in the form of an art book. If there were any graphical upgrades or bonuses, it would have likely been advertised on the box or revealed at the recent Sonic showcase.

It’s also not made very clear what sort of art book will be included as the retailers don’t provide any kind of look at it, but the packshot for this version of the game shows a slipcase, which means that the art book is likely going to be a small one that can fit inside the game’s case.
