10 Maces & Spiked Clubs
First up is a category of weapons you’ll be seeing a lot of — blunt-type weapons. These are your Jobo Maces, Spiked Clubs, and many more. In particular, these maces and clubs are something you’ll stumble upon only in Joblin, and are always worth holding onto.
Pros
- Both of these weapons pop up constantly in Joblin.
- Great damage and durability.
- The Jobo Mace is exceedingly fast, while the Spiked Club has great reach.
Cons
- The semi-equivalent weapons in Styxcoin and Winkydink aren’t nearly as good.
- The damage for both is rather low compared to most other blunt-type weapons.
- There are better finds in Joblin overall.
9 The Jobo Warhammer, Sledgehammer, & Ace Of Clubs
Luckily, unlike the Jobo Mace/Spiked Club, these similar blunt weapons have decent alternative options in all three dungeons with the Jobo Warhammer, the Sledgehammers found in Styxcoin, and the Ace of Clubs in Winkydink.
Wide swings and high damage allow you to clear entire rooms with just a few attacks.
Respectable durability all around.
The Warhammers and Sledgehammers, in particular, pop up often in their respective dungeons.
Very slow startup for swings.
Needs particular Skills to unleash their full potential,
which is where the better Mentors, like Ray, come in.
The damage output can easily trick you into tanking more hits than you probably should.
8 All Three Types Of Whacktus
This next one is quite literally a cactus on a handle. You’ll notice there are a lot of potted Cacti in Joblin, and with every pot broken, these three different lengths of Whacktus have a chance to reveal themselves.
Higher damage than any other weapons of a similar length in Joblin.
If you’re lucky, they can pop up quite often.
Both the Whacktus and Whacktus XL are fast, while the Whacktus XXL is one of the best two-handed room-clearers in the game.
Low durability.
No equivalent weapons of the same type in the other two dungeons.
Unlucky players may only find one of these things in a run, if any at all.
7 Double Hockey Sticks
Finally, we’ve reached the last blunt-type weapon on this list, the Winkydink exclusive Double Hockey Sticks.
This weapon is an upgraded version of the singular Hockey Sticks, and it also serves as a clever pun on the “hellish” appearance of the Winkydink dungeon.
Does much more damage than the singular version.
Can pop up often or not at all depending on enemy drops.
Are basically a better version of the Sledgehammer-class weapons.
Like the Whacktus, they might not show up at all if you’re unlucky.
The only weapon of its kind in Winkydink as it has nothing similar to it in Joblin or Styxcoin.
Again, like the Sledgehammers,
needs certain amazing Skills
to make the most of it.
6 Jobo Crossbows & Staplers
At last, we’ve reached one of the gun-type weapons in Going Under. Well, technically two — the Jobo Crossbows and the Staplers. There are a ton of gun-type weapons in the game, but honestly, not many of them are worth using over melee weapons. These two, however, are different.
- Staplers pop up constantly thanks to them being “junk” items.
- Staplers appear in both Styxcoin and Joblin.
- The Crossbow has high damage in exchange for decent ammo capacity, while the Stapler balances low damage with a high ammo capacity.
Cons:
- Neither are weapons that can hit multiple enemies at once.
- Both are useless once empty.
- Only start becoming overpowered with Skills like Loaded for Bear.
5 Fire Starters & Extinguishers
Next up are the Fire Extinguishers and the Fire Starters, two more gun-type items that are also some of the few elemental-type weapons in the game. One sprays freezing cold extinguishing foam, while the other spouts flames.
The Extinguisher can freeze most enemy types, allowing for free hits while the Fire Starter lights entire rooms ablaze, causing constant damage to enemies who get caught up in it.
Both are ranged weapons and leave a lasting particle effect, meaning that aim isn’t all too important.
There are quite a few of them spread throughout Winkydink.
Pretty low ammo count and they become junk-type items once they’re empty.
You can hurt yourself using the Fire Starter if you aren’t careful.
Only appear in Winkydink, with no real comparable weapons in other dungeons.
4 Blockchainsaw
The Blockchainsaw looks like it should be a Legendary-variant weapon like the Jobseeker, Corner Cutter, or Stygian Blade, but it isn’t. Sure, it’s very difficult to find, but you can still find one in every run if you’re very lucky. This weapon is basically exactly what it sounds like, a gigantic chainsaw with teeth made out of what looks to be Styxcoin crypto-currency.
One of the only multi-hitting weapons in the game.
Absurdly high durability at 210 (most other items are between 5-30).
Low damage, but that damage is constantly applied.
Unlike most other items on here, the Blockchainsaw is a rare find.
Requires you to keep close to enemies, leaving you open to getting hit yourself.
Only found in Styxcoin.
3 Tridents & Pitchforks
Hopping from a Styxcoin-exclusive item to a Winkydink-exclusive one, the freezing Tridents and fiery Pitchforks are the weapons used by some of the Succubus enemies in this dungeon.
Like the Fire Starter/Fire Extinguisher, these are also elemental-type weapons, but the Tridents/Pitchforks are frankly a bit more useful overall.
They excel at both ranged and close combat, thanks to the charge attack.
Having elemental damage plus decent melee damage and durability means these weapons are fantastic all-rounders.
Because they drop from the Succubi using them, you can almost always gather at least a few of them on each run.
Very difficult to accurately use and aim the projectiles.
Other than the fire/ice projectiles, the stab charge attack isn’t very useful in terms of melee utility.
Their damage and durability aren’t equal between the two, as the Pitchfork is actually a bit weaker compared to the Trident.
2 Diamond Pickaxe
Now onto the only sharp-type weapon on this list, the Pickaxe! This might sound like a weapon that belongs more in base-building games, but it actually matches the theme of the Styxcoin Dungeon quite well. Standard pickaxes can be found all over this dungeon, but, the Diamond Pickaxe is a bit more of a rare occurrence that is well worth keeping an eye out for, especially because of how hilarious the protagonist Jackie Fiasco looks while wielding it in her skeleton miner costume.
Does more damage than the standard Pickaxe and has over 1.5x the durability.
Shares all other aspects with the standard pickaxe, including its useful charge attack and fast swinging speed.
Another weapon that you can gather multiple of if you’re lucky.
Both the Pickaxe and Diamond Pickaxe are Styxcoin-exclusive weapons.
The range is a bit limited.
More of a single-target weapon than a group-clearing one.
1 Skelecaster
The final weapon on this list s also one of the most unique mechanically, and it goes by the name of the Skelecaster. Now, there’s a legendary variant of this guitar weapon called the Multicaster, but even the default Skelecaster is pretty fantastic in its own right.
Is a weapon that has full 360-degree utility.
Can be spammed during a boss fight for massive damage.
Shows up in both Joblin and Styxcoin.
Can’t be used as a melee weapon when “empty” like the Tridents or Pitchforks.
Only has one type of attack, limiting its utility.
Low durability in general.
