Ground-Type Pokémon have always been known for their dirty and strong looking designs. Ground-Type Pokémon have designs that are usually more unique than the designs of Pokémon from the other typings. Most fans probably wouldn’t expect some of the Cutest Pokémon in the franchise to be Ground-Types but they would be wrong.
There are so many adorable little mud-lovers in the Pokémon world it can be difficult to rank them. Many strong Ground-Types have extremely cute pre-evolutions that fans wouldn’t expect. From tiny donkeys to baby crocodiles, here are 10 of the Cutest Ground-Type Pokémon that fans would still cuddle with even if it got their clothes all muddy!
10 Palpitoad
Palpitoad is a toad Pokémon and is the evolution of the adorable Water-Type Tympole. This Pokémon is a strong dual Water/Ground-Type that isn’t scared to get into a difficult fight with other pokemon for its trainer, this is shown by Ash’s Palpitoad in the anime.
What makes Palpitoad so cute is its resemblance to both a tadpole and a toad. It has small stubby feet, a mischievous face and cute little spheres on the top of its head. With its child-like face and unique body design, Palpitoad makes for an adorable tadpole Pokémon that every Ground-Type trainer needs to catch right away!

7 Diglett
Diglett is a tiny brown Pokémon that somewhat resembles a mole in appearance. It pops its head out while using the lower half of its body to burrow and move around underground. This Pokémon was introduced in Gen I and its age help add to the fact that it’s a fan favorite.
Although the upper half of Digletts body is extremely cute, nobody knows for sure what is under the ground for the bottom half of its body. For this reason, many fans of Pokémon speculate that it may be extremely weird-looking. Hopefully, this is not the case and the lower half of its body is just as heart-melting as its upper half.

This Pokémon is a must-catch for any trainer who likes cute Ground-Types.
3 Drilbur
Yet another adorable Gen V Ground-Type, Drilbur earns a spot on this list for being a cute drilling Pokémon. It has a long snout and a child-like face. Its claws are very large and close together, which helps it dig, or rather drill underground quickly.
Drilbur has a happy demeanor and is willing to fight tough battles for its trainer despite its child-like look. Iris had a Drilbur in the anime and during its appearances it helped show fans why it was a foe to be taken seriously and a cutie all at the same time!
