The Halo series has always been home to uniquely designed locations and characters that players have been fans of since 2001.

Expectations are running high within the gaming community for this year’s holiday season, thanks to the upcoming release of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Microsoft’s favorite Spartan will be seeing a comeback with the release of Halo Infinite.

Microsoft’s most recent press conference gave fans a glimpse at Halo Infinite’s gameplay, featuring open-world mechanics and a grappling hook. This has left some fans hesitant for the release with others on the edge of their seats. However, one thing that has remained constant in this new entry to the series is its unique art style and enemy design.

Microsoft has recently enabled pre-orders for The Art of Halo Infinite, an art book being published by Dark Horse Comics that details the many steps of the game’s development. The book will feature concept art that covers the new game’s planets, weaponry, allies, and enemies.

Some fans have criticized the graphical fidelity of Halo Infinite after a somewhat lackluster gameplay demo. It is important to know that the gameplay was not played on an Xbox Series X, which could have negatively impacted how the game looked. Even if the graphics are not up to par with what fans expect of next-gen consoles, it is still instantly recognizable as a Halo game, which is incredibly important when continuing a franchise.
