Boardgame creator Usaopoly has announced their next game in the popular Rising series, The Batman Who Laughs Rising. Both Patrick Marino and Andrew Wolf worked in the designing of this new game, previously having worked on both the Harry Potter and Star Wars games in the Rising series.
Fans of the Rising series should be in for a treat as the game developer explores the stranger side of comic books by tapping into a character who acts as the evil counterpart of Batman within the multiverse. The Batman who Laughs was created as a hybrid of both Batman and Joker, if the former were infected to madness by the Joker toxin and continued to bring “justice” with a new, perverted sense of reality.
The new game is expected to release in the fall, and will feature 1-4 player modes in which, solo or in a group, dice will be rolled, and key heroes will be recruited to take down against a series of villains. Players begin the game with Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, or Batman, and each carries their own unique set of abilities.
