It’s that time of year every PC Gamer loves and their wallet hates. The PC Gaming Winter Sales are in full swing as deals are bleeding out from every corner. Steam’s highly touted sale launched early Thursday morning and the competing Winter Sales are falling in line. Many retailers like GMG have refreshed their Winter Sales to better compete with Steam and the result is better prices for all, especially on titles such as No Man’s Sky.
Today GMG launched “Batch 3” of their PC Gaming Winter Sale which included 662 new PC downloads with discounts and a stacking 10% off coupon code. Among the deal is No Man’s Sky getting a discount from $59.99 to $32.39. This price drop matches its previous low last seen during the Black Friday PC game sales and is the lowest price to date. Steam’s sale price on No Man’s Sky isn’t quite as good (about $4 more), but they have do have the most comprehensive of all the Winter Sales, covering thousands of games throughout their site. What to keep in mind is that Steam isn’t the best price online for all games. Generally, competition retailer will try to lower their prices to undercut the big guy in the room, but there are Steam exclusive games like Elite Dangerous and ARK Survival Evolved that will be the best price online at Steam. Origin is another retailer throwing Holiday Deals at us. Origin’s catalog is significantly smaller than Steams, but they have some heavy hitter deals like the cheapest Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1.
