Cyberpunk Red - the tabletop RPG prequel to Cyberpunk 2077 - has reportedly been delayed.
In case you didn’t know, Cyberpunk Red will be the product of a collaborative effort between R. Talsorian Games and CD Projekt RED themselves. It will be set in the same universe as that of the latter’s hotly-anticipated sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077, but will feature new lore and game mechanics from the years leading up to 2077.
Cyberpunk Red was meant to hit the tops of our tables in June 2020, but of course, COVID-19 happened and now that simply won’t be possible. At least, not without compromising the game’s quality, reads the latest blog post released by R. Talsorian Games.
In terms of the new release date, things unfortunately aren’t clear at this stage:
To tide yourself over - at least for a little while - you can at least catch some footage of what you can expect from the tabletop RPG when it does finally get here, featuring Matthew Lillard, Noura Ibrahim, and Luke Gygax.
We’re currently looking at summer’s end for a release but until the world calms down and things stop fluctuating, our crystal ball is full of fog.
