When playing The Division 2 for the first time, most players don’t know how to use Skill Power. This featured doesn’t improve your character by itself; instead, it is just a number that determines how many skills mod you can equip.

This means it isn’t enough to have lots of new skill mods at your disposal. To use them, you’ll have to increase your Skill Power through gear pieces, gear sets, or brand sets. To check how much Skill Power, just open your character screen and check underneath your health info.

To increase your Skill Level, you’ll need to use gear pieces, like masks, Vest, backpacks, or gloves, on your character. So take a look at some of the pieces that will take that Skill Power of yours to the top.

10 Tactician’s Authority

This is a gear set consisting of six pieces, the more pieces you equip, the better the bonuses are. For example, the Tactician’s Authority Mask will give you +5,056 of Skill Power, but if you want that number to go up, you’ll need to equip at least three gear pieces from the set.

With two pieces, you’ll get +15% of Skill Haste, with three pieces +10% Skill Power, and with four pieces, you’ll get Tactician’s Authority. This talent changes Skill Power in battle by hitting the enemies maxing out your total Skill power to 30%.

Getting five pieces of the Gear set will add +5% Skill Haste and +5% Skill Power. Finally, if you get all the pieces, this gear will give you the ultimate bonus, an improved Tactician’s Authority.

9 Striker’s Pack

This gear is part of a whole set called Striker’s Battlegear. Striker’s Pack the level is 31+, and by equipping it, you’ll get +4,374 of Skill Power.

You can get this gear by farming it at Foggy Bottom while doing some missions, like hostage rescues and territory control. It drops a lot, so it is easy to get all the gear set from this area. If you wear the complete set, it will provide bonuses for assault capabilities offering a bit of offense and defense.

8 Hard Wired

This gear set is a fan favorite among The Division 2 players. It has six pieces and, in comparison to other sets, this one is very balanced, offering a lot of damage and repairing abilities. Also, it offers +20% of bonus on Skill Power if you at least four gear pieces from this set equipped.

Getting it is not so easy as to farm it or buy it in the game store; instead, you’ll need to craft it. One of the main characteristics of this set and something that makes it so popular is that you can enable the talent Tamper proof when you have at least five pieces equipped. This one gives an electrifying trait to your weapons that will shock enemies.

7 Alps Summit Armament

This one is a three pieces set, and if you get at least two pieces, it will give your character a +10% of Skill Power. As for the rest of the bonuses, wearing all of the pieces will grant you +20% of Skill Haste and 15% of Hive Skill Power.

Wearing this set will trigger the talent “Trauma” that gives you the ability to blind an enemy for five seconds. To use this talent, you’ll need a Marksmen Rifle or Rifle Drawn.

6 Sokolov Concern

The Sokolov Concern set only has three pieces. With it, you can activate +15% of the Seeker Skill Power. Still, another of this set’s appealing features is that it boosts the critical hit damage, the critical hit chance, and the damage with submachine guns (SMG).

This set can also be really useful when fighting against elites because it deals +25% more damage to them when wearing you’re wearing it.

5 Gila Guard

If you want to have a set with high amounts of defense and for your character to have a tank build while boosting Skill Power, then the Gila Guard is what you need. With three pieces from this set, you’ll increase +5% Total Armor +20% Hazard Protection and 15% Pulse Skill Power when equipped.

As you can see, this is one of the best gear you can find with Dark Zone vendors. You can get the first piece quickly by going to the south area of the Dark Zone. Just fast travel to the alpha checkpoint, head out, and you will see a vendor to your right that sells the Gila Guard Pack.

4 Badger Tuff

If you are still under level 20, you might want to check out this brand set. Badger Tuff is ideal to have as soon as you get to level 15. Getting the backpack from this set will give you +71 health, +140 bonus armor, and +30 of Skill Power, making a huge difference on low levels, where it is hard to get your hands on pieces with that attribute.

Also, it offers a good boost in your health stats if you get the Holster Piece, so you can fight better against your enemies with an increased defense. Getting at least three pieces of this set will trigger +15% on the Chem Launcher Skill Power, which can come in handy if you want to assist your team or heal yourself.

3 Wyvern Wear

This game has many gadgets you can use to your advantage, and if you like using drones, you don’t want to miss out on this set. Using Wyvern Wear will give you nice critic damage and hit chance status. Also, it will enhance your Skill Power for drones up to 15%. However, you’ll need at least two pieces to get this bonus.

The Mask and the Vest pieces from this set give you lots of regular Skill Power, so they are probably the best choice to start with if you want to perk up your Skill Power.

2 Richter and Kaiser GmbH

For those who want to make the shield and pistol build, getting this set is a good option. The bonuses from this set are +10% Hazard Protection if you get one piece, +20% pistol damage if you get two, and finally 15% shield Skill Power if you equip the three pieces.

If you get the Vest piece, you can add up to +475 of Skill Power, critical damage, and critical hit chance.

1 Petrov Defense Group

This set is perfect if you like using Turrets. Getting a couple of pieces will give you a bonus of +15% of your Turret Skill Power. You can also have +10% of LMG damage and +10% cooldown reduction as you get more pieces equipped.

If you want to increase your regular Skill Power, you will need to get the Vest. Keep in mind that this set has a great talent you can obtain by equipping the Petrov Defense Group Gloves. This gear gives you +30% of armor regeneration and great damage attributes for the pistol, rifle, and SMG.
