Last year, Ubisoft announced an in-game promotion between The Division and its upcoming sequel where a new challenge would be added to the game each month, and should the player complete the task, they would earn an unlockable reward within The Division 2. These monthly shields typically required players to grind away at the game in order to claim all four tiers of available loot. Players were tasked with all sorts of objectives like reaching the highest optimized gear score in the game, unlocking all exotic loot, reaching various milestones while playing through the expansion content, and much more.
The Division 2 launches this week, which means for many players, it will be time to collect the rewards earned for completing the shields tiers. Thankfully, Ubisoft is making it fairly easy to do so that players exploring the title’s fictional take on Washington D.C. won’t have to reach a certain point in the story or find a specific vendor at the White House Base of Operations.
Instead, players simply need to log into their Ubisoft Club account either from a web browser or from the in-game menu. Considering players are already logged in once they start playing The Division 2, it may be easier just to do it from the pause menu. Under the Club rewards section for the game, players will have a variety of options, some of which are free to claim and others that require spending currency that players earn by completing challenges by playing Ubisoft games.
Here are the shield reward tiers:
- Tier 1: Red, White, and Blue Weapon Skin. Players needed to complete at least 1 shield to earn this. Tier 2: Brown Leather Jacket outfit and NYC apple patch. Unlocked for completing 4 total shields. Tier 3: Shush emote and Red, White, and Blue striped gear dye. This is unlocked after 8 shields have been completed. Tier 4: Fist pump emote and an American Flag backpack trophy. Unlocked after completing all 12 Division shields.
One thing to note is that the Ubisoft Club is also where players can obtain free content for participating in live tests and beta sessions for The Division 2. A few of them, such as the Capitol Hill Arm Patch, Supply Crate Backpack, and City Runner gear may not be accessible until the global launch on March 15, 2019. For those who want a taste of Washington D.C. ahead of its release later in the week, there are a number of ways to get early access and a few options even come with additional content.
The Division 2 launches on March 15, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
