Ubisoft releases a new trailer for Tom Clancy’s The Division that shows off the game’s gorgeous 60 frames per second visuals when running on a powerful PC.

Although there games are by no means visually disappointing, Ubisoft does have a reputation of releasing games that look significantly less impressive than they did in their initial trailers. It’s a fairly common occurrence in the industry and by no means unique to Ubisoft, but even so, the practice often leaves many fans disappointed. Having said that, gamers that plan on picking up Ubisoft’s upcoming game Tom Clancy’s The Division on PC can potentially enjoy an experience that is very close to the game’s E3 2013 reveal trailer.

As is to be expected, the PC version of Tom Clancy’s The Division is capable of delivering higher fidelity visuals than is possible on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Specifically, The Division on a high powered PC runs at 60 frames per second, and the result is an absolutely stunning game.

To show off these impressive visuals, Ubisoft released a new trailer showcasing The Division’s 60 FPS capabilities on PC. The trailer features sweeping shots of The Division’s New York City setting, while also showing off what the game’s combat looks like at a high frame rate.

It’s been clear for a while now that The Division runs best on PC, but that shouldn’t be surprising to anyone. That is often the case for most games, as PCs are typically capable of far more than home consoles. This latest trailer for The Division helps to drive that point home, and serves as a good argument for why someone may want to go with the PC version of the game over one of the console versions.

Even so, Ubisoft does seem to be favoring the Xbox One version of The Division over anything else. In fact, reports suggest The Division’s PC graphics are being held back in order for the game to more closely resemble its console counterparts. Furthermore, Ubisoft has announced that The Division DLC will be on Xbox One first, which means that PC gamers will likely have to wait a full month before getting their hands on the game’s expansions.

Consumers with both a home console and a gaming PC will have a tough choice to make when deciding which platform to buy The Division for. Do they spring for the improved frame rate and visuals of the PC version, or is the early access to The Division’s DLC too hard to pass up? Time will tell which version of The Division comes out dominant, but it looks like it will be a satisfying experience for shooter fans regardless of platform.

Tom Clancy’s The Division will be available on March 8th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
