Update: Bethesda has extended the giveaway through the weekend due to technical difficulties on Monday.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls franchise and Bethesda is celebrating in style with a range of special offers and giveaways, including the opportunity to claim a free copy of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

Way back in 1994, Bethesda invited us on a journey through the world of Tamriel. The Elder Scrolls began with The Elder Scrolls: Arena and has since grown into a franchise that boasts many fans and multiple award-winning games. There are five core games, each of which has a set of expansions, as well as several spin-offs. In order to celebrate this epic milestone, Bethesda is offering a range of free items and offers, which span several Elder Scrolls titles.

To claim your free PC copy of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, simply head on over to Bethesda.net  and log in or sign up. Once you have an account, you can use the code TES25TH-MORROWIND to secure your copy. Just be quick, as the offer is only available on March 25.

Players can also benefit from a range of other offers throughout the franchise.

If you’ve ever wanted to take a look at The Elder Scrolls Online, the first multiplayer installment of the franchise, then next week is the time to do it. To celebrate the anniversary, as well as the beginning of the Season of the Dragon, The Elder Scrolls Online will be free to play from March 28 until April 3.

For those who play the digital collectible card game, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, logging into the game will give you free a limited-edition card back and three card packs. Bethesda is also offering a range of 25th Anniversary bundles for this week only.

Meanwhile, if you have a copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, then you can claim a free Nordic Jewelery creation, simply by logging into your account.

Bethesda is also providing fans with some discounts in its store, with many Elder Scrolls titles available with up to 50% off.

All discounts and in-game promotions are set to run until March 31, except the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind offer, which is available for 24 hours only.

There will be more celebratory events next week, including several streams of Elder Scrolls titles and as some Pax East events. The full timetable can be found on Bethesda’s website.
