Players interested in Elder Scrolls Online have reason to rejoice, as the game is going completely free to play for a limited time as part of the ongoing QuakeCon event. Players on any platform will be able to download and play the game without any sort of subscription fee or purchase price, but they’ll need to act fast if they want time to enjoy the experience.

QuakeCon is an ongoing live streamed event during which Bethesda shares information about its upcoming projects. In celebration of this event and to reward those taking part of it, the studio is offering ESO free until the event concludes. That means players will be able to have access to the full game until August 19th on PC and Xbox One and August 20th on PS4.

Players will have access to the entire base game and the Morrowind expansion, and will start their adventure with the Dark Heart of Skyrim quest starter. Players are also awarded 500 crowns, Elder Scrolls Online’s premium currency, which they can spend on certain cosmetic items. Given that there is about 10 days left, players won’t be able to make it too far into the story, but there’s a catch.

During this time, Elder Scrolls Online itself is on sale for 50% off. This also comes with the base game and the Morrowind expansion, but the Greymoor standard edition is also on sale for 35% off. This comes with all of the aforementioned packs and includes the Summerset Chapter and Elsweyr Chapter as well.

Elder Scrolls Online is available on PC, PS4, Stadia and Xbox One.
