A new story trailer has been released for Wired Productions’ upcoming fantasy RPG, The Falconeer, showing off the watery, airborne chaos that players can expect when the game releases later this year.
Set within the world of The Great Ursee, The Falconeer will take players on a fantastic adventure through a wet, open-world that is filled with various factions who are waging war over the precious (and mysterious) resources that lie at the depths of the ocean.
Players will take on the role of a warrior atop an armed aerial mount, as they make their way through the dangerous land, battling pirates and aerial warships, all while trying to uncover the mysteries of the Ursee.
The Falconeer is developed by a team of one - Thomas Sala - and is reminiscent of other aerial mount-based games like Panzer Dragoon, or even the Star Fox franchise. Based on the gameplay shown off thus far, it’s clear that players will have their hands full as they take on enemies using classic dogfighting mechanics and aerial acrobatics, all of which look pretty chaotic when set against the beautiful scenery.
No release date has been revealed for The Falconeer yet, but interested players can wishlist the game right now on PC via Steam.
