The Game Awards 2020 is set to begin in just one day. The annual awards show is known for hosting the announcements of a ton of new games and 2020 is going to be much the same. Host Geoff Keighley’s already confirmed over a dozen game announcements for The Game Awards 2020. Two of them have been confirmed as coming from publisher Focus Home Interactive. Focus Home Interactive didn’t share any more details, but a new leak may have spoiled the publisher’s surprises.

Following confirmation that Focus Home Interactive would have “two major reveals” at The Game Awards 2020, Gematsu reported what could be the titles of the two new games. Evil West and Shady Part of Me are the two games’ names, both of which appeared as trademarks from Focus Home Interactive in mid-November. The trademark information apparently only referenced Focus Home Interactive and not the games’ respective development studios.

However, further investigation reportedly led to more specific details. For example, Shady Part of Me is apparently being developed by indie studio Douze-Dixiemes. The team made a post about the game as far back as November 2018, perhaps before it had a publishing agreement with Focus Home Interactive. Following that discovery, a Microsoft profile for Shady Part of Me was also discovered. This likely implies that the game is near to release, and could even be released during The Game Awards 2020 in a surprise announcement.

Shady Part of Me mixes 2D and 3D gameplay to create a clever sort of puzzle game. In 3D, players play a little girl exploring “surreal dreamscapes,” which can be switched to 2D where players take control of the girl’s shadow. Both will have to work together to progress through Shady Part of Me’s “emotional and dream-like journey.”

Less is known about Focus Home Interactive’s other game, Evil West. The game has a blank Facebook page, as well as a webpage that hasn’t been set up within Focus Home Interactive’s network. Gematsu speculates that it’s a game from Flying Wild Hog, the developer of Shadow Warrior. Flying Wild Hog announced a partnership with Focus Home Interactive in late September, though no details about Flying Wild Hog’s game were shared at the time.

Interested gamers should keep a touch of skepticism, however. These are just two likely possibilities for what Focus Home Interactive could announce during The Game Awards 2020, and there’s a chance that there are two other games that will be announced, instead. Luckily, no one will have to wait too long to find out the truth. The Game Awards 2020 air Thursday evening, where Focus Home Interactive will reveal the truth.
