Ubisoft RedLynx has announced its addition of the longest track in the history of Trials Rising. The motorcycle racing game will include the ‘Gigatrack’ as a free DLC that will be arriving very soon.
Announcing the reveal as part of the Ubisoft Forward event, the team at RedLynx confirmed that “the Gigatrack” would be arriving in Trials Rising July 16. The trailer - released in conjunction with the announcement - promoted Season 6 Journey of Trials and had community developer John Lloyd and creative director Antti Ilvessuo on hand to introduce the new endurance challenge. The trailer then shot into some gameplay of the Gigatrack, right after Ilvessuo shot a rubber goose at Lloyd through a Bazooka, that showed all its insane glory. Lloyd explained that it was independent from the track featured in Trials Evolution.
Ilvessuo continued by comparing the track to life through its longevity and also announced that the track would be free to all Trials Rising riders upon its release. The track is labeled as the longest track to exist within the Trials franchise that is designed to test the player’s endurance. The Gigatrack will include five different environments to create the perfect backdrop for riding that will include some settings that riders have passed through before. The intimidating ramps and breathtaking drops featured in the trailer prove that the Gigatrack will be one impressive feat to conquer.
The Trails Rising Expansion Pass landed earlier this year that added new tracks, customization items, and stickers to the ultimate motorcycle experience. The first expansion included new tracks within Route 66 as well as an added DLC that allowed riders to wear their favorite football team’s apparel. The second expansion was set in the southern hemisphere where players could ride through the mountains of Peru and the icy terrain of Antarctica. This expansion also gave riders two new bikes, introduced new game mechanics, and added the extra bonus of an explorer-themed outfit for the closet.
Ubisoft Forward was an all-round success, featuring AC Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion updates with the debut cinematic trailer for Far Cry 6. However, the gaming community wondered if Ubisoft would address the ongoing investigation into the companies allegations of sexual abuse. Ubisoft did make an announcement on Twitter, explaining that all the spots featured in the show were pre-recorded, therefore the company would not directly address the investigation at that time. Ubisoft representatives did conclude by saying that they had “significant work to do” and will have more updates soon.
