Devolver Digital is confident people will love the game, so it’s putting it in the hands of anyone curious enough to try it. There’s really no reason not to give it a download, especially since it is so offbeat and wacky. This is likely wildly different from anything you’ve ever tried before.
Sludge Life comes from the team behind High Hell, another Devolver published game. Instead of trying to emulate a hardcore action movie, you could probably equate this to a stoner comedy. The characters use rough language and the game is lackadaisical in a really charming way.
I saw it being played at PAX East this year and I was enchanted by it. I kind of regret not giving it a proper look, but I guess I don’t need to worry anymore. Now to just add this to my backlog and hopefully finish it within the next lifetime.
