Ever since the first official announcement involving The King of Fighters 15 a month ago, character trailer reveals have been an ongoing routine from SNK. As fans continue to speculate who will make its appearance in the game or if their favorites will make the cut, several impressive trailers show what fans can expect as The King of Fighters 15 releases later this year.

The first character trailer, three weeks ago, announced Shun’ei, the central protagonist of The King of Fighters 14. The character trailer was universally panned by various fans, citing the trailer showed very little of what the protagonist could do, playing out more like a slideshow instead. Subsequent trailers improved on the quality drastically, with Meitenkun the following week and King of Fighters veteran Benimaru Nikado last week. Benimaru’s appearance rounded out the Hero Team, joining Meitenkun and Shun’ei.

On Wednesday evening, SNK revealed another trailer announcing one of its characters for The King of Fighters 15. This time, it’s Iori Yagami, a series staple since his appearance in The King of Fighters ‘96. Since ‘96, Iori has been included in every game in some form. Recently, he has made a cameo appearance in SNK Heroines as the alter-ego Miss X, following Terry Bogard who would make their appearance in the same game.

The trailer shows Iori in a new designer brand-esque black jacket, matching vest, and iconic red pants. His gameplay bears similarity to his classic Orochi flames as well as his heavy rushdown gameplay featured in The King of Fighters 13. Fans have also noticed that his updated appearance in The King of Fighters 15 bears similarity to old official promotional art by Shinkiro, depicting Iori in his session outfit.

The King of Fighters 15 releases some time in 2021.
