Remember when Ark: Survival Evolved was all about taming dinosaurs, fighting for survival against rival tribes, and collecting your own poop to turn into fertilizer? Four years later, Ark has… well, evolved.

No longer is Ark a game of mere survival. Now it’s a game about taking down an ancient corrupting evil and saving the future of humanity. Genesis Part 1 came out last February, and now Part 2 has arrived to close out the game with a thrilling conclusion and set the stage for Ark: Survival Evolved 2.

So what’s in Genesis Part 2? Well, there are bile-spewing tentacle T-rexes, mind-control Noglins, laser windsurfers, a mobile nursery called “Maewing,” invisible cat-like beasts that look pretty scary, and actual space fighters so you can take part in zero-G combat.

Genesis Part 2 will include all-new story missions that you acquire from HLN-A, your robotic companion. Those missions will award map-wide bonuses and Hexagons to spend on Engram Points, TEK, resources, and a whole lot more. You’ll need all the help you can get to eventually travel to Rockwell’s lair for the final showdown for the fate of all humanity.

Check out the trailer below to get a sense of the grand scale that Studio Wildcard has for fans of their long-running survival game.

After Genesis Part 2 comes Ark 2, a whole new game starring Vin Diesel. Or at least starring Vin Diesel in a supporting role of some kind. Ark 2 was announced at the last Game Awards along with an upcoming Ark animated series. There’s no release date on Ark 2 just yet, but we know it’ll be an Xbox exclusive.

Since Microsoft seems to have claimed PCs as its othere platform, hopefully this Xbox exclusivity will also include a PC release.

Genesis Part 2 is available now on every platform you can find Ark: Survival Evolved.
