In The Last of Us 2, players control Ellie 4 years after the events of the original game as she pursues her quest for vengeance. While venturing through Seattle, Ellie can fully explore the areas around her in search of various supplies and collectible trading cards. However, Ellie won’t be able to find everything in-game by herself since it’s another character who needs to find the rest. MINOR THE LAST OF US 2 SPOILERS AHEAD

Halfway through the game, players switches over to Abby who is the object of Ellie’s revenge. As a result, the first few days are replayed from her perspective in events that run parallel to Ellie. While moving through Abby’s sections, players can still progress towards earning trophies by accomplishing certain tasks. And similar to Ellie’s cards, Abby has her own collectibles in the form of 32 different coins.

Coin Chapter Locations

The Park 

  • The first coin is found during Abby’s flashback 4 years ago. After breaking a window to get past a locked fence, inspect the nearby dumpsters to find the Virginia Coin.

The Stadium

  • Right after Abby grabs her backpack and leaves the apartment, head into the stadium and turn left. The Alaska Coin will be on the ground. Walk down a big staircase until there’s an area with people washing laundry. The Maine Coin will be on a bench near 2 baskets of laundry. Leave the dog kennel, walk past a WLF guard with her feet up and look at a mural to the right. The New Jersey Coin is sticking out of the mud. After exiting the shooting range, turn left and inspect the open locker to find the Vermont Coin.

On Foot

  • Once the jeep is wrecked, run into the nearby building and turn right to find the Kentucky Coin on a table near 2 chairs. The Massachusetts Coin is next to a cash register on the farthest checkout counter from the greenhouse entrance. Instead of using a movable ladder to access the boat, first position it against the wall opposite from the boat to grab the Ohio Coin. After getting past the boat, break a locked office’s glass windows and check the desk for the Indiana Coin.

The Forward Base

  • Check the metal railings directly above a group of chatting WLF soldiers near the jeeps to find the California Coin. Past the checkpoint gate, move around a large group of soldiers and the New Mexico Coin is on a crate next to the toilets. Inside the building where Isaac is, the South Carolina Coin is at the end of a long table with two soldiers gaming at the other end.

Hostile Territory

  • The North Dakota Coin is inside a drawer of a building that Abby needs to climb some vehicles to access.

The Coast

  • After fighting past several The Last of Us 2 infected and reaching the bridge, move away from the ferris wheel to find the Alabama Coin next to a corpse. The West Virginia Coin is on the second level of the crashed ship on top of some luggage and next to a teddy bear. Once Abby climbs the ladder, turn around and inspect behind the metal crow’s nest for the Utah Coin. Just before the aquarium, there’s a dolphin water fountain with the Mississippi Coin thrown into it.

The Shortcut

  • After coming across a waterfall, check the barbershop to the right and inspect the cash register for the Nevada Coin. In an optometry shop, the Colorado Coin is on a blue windowsill overlooking the stream.

The Descent

  • At the start of the chapter, dive to the bottom of the swimming pool to find the Illinois Coin. Shortly after acquiring the flamethrower, walk past a narrow beam and drop down to the floor below. Turn around and jump another small gap then inspect room 1107 to acquire the Oregon Coin. Once Abby and Lev are nearly out of the building, break the vending machine near the elevator door to get the Wisconsin Coin. After getting outside, the Rhode Island Coin is behind an outdoor bar counter next to a cash register. Instead of heading inside the hospital, first turn right and walk inside the building where the Missouri Coin is on the ground.

Ground Zero

  • Follow Nora for a bit, but stop to check the cafe counter where the Washington Coin is next to the cash register. After defeating the Rat King, walk towards the parking garage exit but turn left and smash the toll booth window to grab the Hawaii Coin.

The Marina

  • When the chapter begins, turn around and go up the stairs to the podium. The Kansas Coin is on the floor near the railings. The Louisiana Coin is hidden behind tall grass and a ramp at the Lenora St. Station.

The Island

  • After arriving at the Seraphite island, check inside the nearby truck to find the Idaho Coin. The North Carolina Coin is directly beneath a wrecked car’s door on the way to the logging camp. Once the logging camp is cleared of Seraphites, the Montana Coin is inside a building that can be accessed with a ladder or by climbing the piled up logs.

The Escape

  • After finding Lev, follow Yara to escape through a store but before going further, look for a shopping cart covered with a blue sheet. The Arkansas Coin is directly behind the cart.
