Craig Mazin - producer for the upcoming Last Of Us HBO series adaptation - has hailed The Last Of Us Part II as one of the best games he’s ever played.

He’s certainly not alone either, as many have praised Part II in a similar fashion since its release nearly a week ago. Of course, there’s also a large chunk of players who hold the opposite opinion - predictable, thanks to the game’s controversial and rather bold story decisions.

But Mazin is all for it, claiming with confidence that it’s one of the best games he’s ever played: “I’m on my second playthrough now, and it’s even more rewarding this time. A remarkable achievement in narrative, character and theme,” he says.

Craig Mazin  is due to bring The Last Of Us to life as a TV series, in collaboration with Neil Druckmann himself, with production predicted to begin soon now that Part II has been released. You can bet we’re hyped for this one, especially considering Mazin is the guy responsible for creating and writing the critically-acclaimed HBO series Chernobyl that blew everyone’s socks off.

Seeing as Part II has been everyone’s focus until now, the series hasn’t quite lifted off the ground yet, so we of course don’t know when we can expect a release date yet. So for now, just go play the game - out now for PlayStation 4.
