The Low Road introduces eccentric and interesting characters that resemble friends we all have. From over-achievers willing to do anything to get what they want, to falsely-confident bosses hiding from a dark secret, you’re sure to find your match in this game.
These fully established and developed characters are a strong point in the game that keeps players interested. But which character would you be?
12 Aries - Horace
Aries are firey. There’s no limit when it comes to them, as they are always looking for the next challenge and are ready for anything.
Horace is confident in his abilities to beat everyone at everything. Whether it be pick-pocketing or being dashingly handsome. He may be attractive to some at first, but is quick to make people feel hurt in the crossfire.
11 Taurus - Turn
Stubborn and sensitive. That’s Turn for you. Turn is Noomi’s (the player’s) boss and on first introductions he comes across as careless and rude. Any passive aggressiveness, as is later found out, is due to his hidden insecurity that troubles him every night before he sleeps.
Once you get to know a Taurus, their stubbornness becomes endearing and you get to see the warmer side to them. They quickly become an entertaining companion due to their quirky faults and heartwarming merits.
10 Gemini - Noomi Kovacs
The main character herself gives off characteristics of Gemini. Gemini’s are very famously known for being two-faced and changing on people. Noomi came off as an innocent, adventurous student but then quickly went behind everyone’s back and sabotaged her way to the top.
Gemini’s are also curious and adaptable. There’s a reason why Noomi is choosing the path of a secret spy for her career! She succeeded exponentially, with sabotaging and sneaking around on her first day to entering forbidden societies the next.
9 Cancer - Sebastian
Cancer’s are seen to be imaginative, emotional, and sentimental. Sebastian is a scientist-engineer without a passion for his work but rather a love instead. His work is his romantic partner of whom he’d rather perish than be without.
Sebastian is very dramatic and emotional about his work. All he wants is to work on his creation. Instead of fighting back aggressively, tactfully, or confidently when someone tries to stop it, he cowers and begs the question of why.
8 Leo - Jeanne
There are a lot of orange and gold tones in Jeanne’s little greenhouse. All of which fit perfectly with Leo’s representing colors. Leo’s are creative, outgoing beings who may accidentally network a lot and create amazing things.
They are also self-centered at times though. This goes to show in Jeanne’s brief explanation of her past work, where she created a hybrid plant that became vicious and killed a whole species of opossum. Jeanne is like a crazy genius scientist, but for plants.
7 Virgo - Hab
Virgo’s are hardworking and practical people with pale yellows as their color. This makes perfect sense for Hab. This old poet may seem like a crazy old man at first, but he has a lot going on in a different part of his life.
Hab is the leader of… something greater than the average person can imagine. All that power couldn’t have come from anything other than hardwork. Not to mention, he only speaks in rhymes. Make no mistake Hab does a lot of studying and working!
6 Libra - Oona
Libra’s are often cooperative people, engaging with others in a way that makes the opposite person feel comfortable. Oona has her opinions and insecurities, but she doesn’t let that get in the way of how she treats other people.
Like Libras, Oona probably doesn’t realize how welcoming she truly is. Noomi is inside a top secret base where everyone must conceal the truth and Noomi must not get found out. But upon talking to Oona, it’s like home. She’s just a casual friend relaxing with her arts. Libras instantly feel like a friend you’ve always had.
5 Scorpio - Cynthia
Cynthia is a badass, independent woman who knows her line of craft better than anyone. Scorpios are firey, secretive, and resourceful. This fits the bill perfectly for an independent woman who started her own investigation organization and a hatred for her past partner and job.
It took Cynthia no trouble at all in finding a way to build herself up in spite of being thrown under the bus at her last job. She showed everyone what’s what and continues to be intuitive and passionate.
4 Sagittarius - Docillio Child
Anyone wondering why a child is in a dangerous, top secret society that is willing to do anything to conceal information? Well, Sagittarius’ are known for promising people anything, even if they never intended to fulfill it!
The Docillio Child will do anything to get what he wants. Sagittarius’ are optimistic and impatient all in one, driving them to get what they want, fast!
3 Capricorn - Penderbrook
Penderbrook is a rich man who owns the division Noomi works for and is the father of Thornton. He is always serious and has a lot of knowledge about things that… maybe one person doesn’t need to know that much about.
Capricorn’s colors are browns and blacks. They are disciplined, smart individuals with many characteristics of a born leader who everyone will eventually resent for their lack of humanity.
2 Aquarius - Thornton Penderbrook
Words to describe Aquarius’ range from aloof, humanitarian, deep, and uncompromising. Thornton Penderbrook is a very eccentric character that is hard to forget. Snooty as he may be, and sounds, Thornton is a romantic at heart.
There is no doubt that underneath all that hair gel and expensive coat, the man probably donates to animal care organizations. Maybe he has a true heart or maybe he only donates to seem kind. Either way he’s definitely steadfast in his ways and… aloofness.
1 Pisces - Lacey
Mauve is the color for Pisces which suits Lacey perfectly as she’s a fashionable lady. if those round sunnies don’t scream, “I’m n artist” who can say what does.
Though she is intuitive, catching onto something being fishy, it doesn’t take much for her to trust someone and brush aside the suspicions. Lacey is a balanced mixture of whimsical trust and astute intuition.
