Who needs personality when you’re travailing the paths of Midgard? Well, Kratos and many of the characters in this game display some interesting character traits. From fighting off hordes of enemies to trying to raise a son during a perilous journey, Kratos displays some exciting behaviors that warrant a closer look.

This also goes for the rest of the ragtag bunch featured in the successful God of War reboot. So, who are you most like? Let’s check out the  MBTI® profiles of the major players in God of War PS4.

10 Baldur - ESTP

Boisterous, incredibly talkative, and markedly evil, Baldur displays many characteristics associated with the “Entrepreneur,” which is an ESTP. He is impulsive, concerned with the bigger picture, and competitive. He becomes obsessed with defeating Kratos and stops at nothing to try to locate him. He is powerful but routinely uses this to wreck the lives of others. ESTPs are not all negative, but Baldur uses the traits of this group to tear down others.

9 Freya - ESFJ

Freya, the mother of Baldur, is portrayed as motherly and caring throughout most of the game. She marries Odin to protect her people and is willing to die so that her son can live. She takes care of Atreus and tries to encourage Kratos to have a more honest relationship with him. ESFJs are known to care about others and try to control their environments to ensure that the ones around them don’t encounter pain. She definitely exemplifies the traits of this group.

8 Atreus - ENFP

God of War has its share of extroverts, and Atreus is also joining the list. ENFPs are known for being optimists, and Atreus fits the bill. Even when things get dicey within the game, Atreus never loses his lust for life or curiosity.

He is empathetic, patient with his father, and open to meeting new people (which we see throughout the game). Atreus is smart and also gives people the benefit of the doubt. He is the perfect complement to his father’s more reserved personality.

7 Sindri - INFP

INFPs are known to be mediators who can see the good in others. They want to help and use their talents to do so. This perfectly describes Sindri. More emotional and reserved than his brother, Sindri is a dwarf that creates weaponry. Like the standard INFP, Sindri enjoys working alone, is loyal, and cares about the issues that impact those around him. Sindri is the ideal INFP.

6 Mimir - ENTP

What is up with all the extroverts in this game? It’s surprising that Sindri even felt comfortable enough to function in this world. Either way, the “smartest man alive,” joins the extrovert club as an ENTP, and he shares this personality type with Atreus. Now, it doesn’t seem so weird that these two seemed to hit it off from the start. Like Atreus, Mimir shows a genuine curiosity for the things around him and is a long-suffering optimist. Cheery and upbeat, even in the face of chaos, Mimir seems to hold it all together, a true ENTP.

5 Jörmungandr - ENFP

Ultimately, while Jörmungandr is the mighty world’s serpent—and is also terrifying to look at—he actually seems to have a warm heart. Noted as a “sparkling conversationalist” by Mimir, this giant enjoys engaging others and can be compassionate to others.

He identifies with the plight of Kratos and Atreus, which is why he chooses to help. He is driven by the loss of his people and embodies the true spirit of the “Campaigner” ENFP personality type.

4 Brok - ESTP

Outspoken, slightly rude, and quite adventurous, Brok is the quintessential ESTP. These people are known to be energetic, resourceful, and humorous. They are the life of the party, and they enjoy it. Brok is always carrying on a hearty conversation with Kratos and Atreus and enjoys learning about weapons from new worlds (ex. Kratos’ Blades of Chaos). Even though Brok has a larger than life personality, he does care about others. He is an excellent example of an ESTP personality type.

3 Faye - ESFJ

Yes, Faye doesn’t show up alive in God of War. However, using the stories spoken about her from Brok, Sindri, Atreus, and Kratos, one can understand what her personality must have been like. Like most ESFJ, she was immensely caring. She fought for her fellow giants and displayed this on a micro-level by raising Atreus to be kind and helpful. She put the needs of her family, above all else. Additionally, she also seemed to be pretty popular as most of the game characters have had some dealings with her—another common trait of ESFJs.

2 Odin - ENTJ

Again, like Faye, players aren’t given an actual look at Odin. Nevertheless, the insights of characters like Mimir paint a vivid picture of who Odin is. He is the ultimate ENTJ. Odin is a leader that uses the personality traits of ENTJs for unfavorable reasons.

He is clever, incredibly smart, and ruthless and rational to the point of not caring about others’ well-beings. He tortures Mimir, guards knowledge from others, and only cares about his own future. Like the typical ENTJ, he is goal-oriented, but at the cost of harming others.

1 Kratos - ISTJ

Kratos has seen a lifetime full of tragedy. He is driven by the deaths of those closest to him. However, while this guy is the main protagonist, he has a more understated personality. Kratos is like an ISTJ. He is practical, trustworthy, and entirely dedicated to whatever cause he is undertaking: whether it is getting revenge on Zeus or spreading the ashes of his second wife, Faye. He is no-nonsense, especially with Atreus. Nevertheless, Kratos does care about others, and while he doesn’t always show it, the dedication to others drives him.
