One would think that by now the world would be used to bizarre news and happenings, but every week something crazier seems to happen. This time around, The Offspring, famous for such songs as “The Kids Aren’t Alright” has decided to cover Tiger King’s “Here Kitty, Kitty” in what ends up being a hilarious way.
Tiger King is the outlandish true crime Netflix documentary featuring Joe Exotic and his exploits. Occasionally the show will play a music video of Joe Exotic performing a strange yet still enjoyable song, one of which was “Here Kitty, Kitty.” This song references the theory that Carol Baskin, another person on the show, fed her husband to a tiger.
The video can be viewed above and features the members of the band sitting six feet apart in order to adhere to social distancing rules. Additionally, they each have masks on, including the drummer who is actually in a giant tiger suit.
The cover is actually well made even, meaning this will be both a treat for the ears and a treat for the eyes. Those looking for a good laugh in these crazy times need look no further than The Offspring’s cover of ‘Here Kitty, Kitty.’
Tiger King is available now on Netflix.
